2. Fee Waiver Policy

Bankruptcy Logic offers a free or reduced-cost course for individuals who cannot afford to pay. If your household income is below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, you may qualify. To apply, complete a waiver form and submit documentation such as pay stubs, public assistance proof, or unemployment statements. Waivers must be approved before registration. We review requests within 2 business days.

Eligibility Criteria:

Fee waiver eligibility is determined using the current U.S. Federal Poverty Guidelines, which are available at:
https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines

Debtors whose household income is less than 150% of the federal poverty guidelines may qualify for a full or partial fee waiver. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account:

  • Monthly income and household size
  • Necessary living expenses
  • Amount paid to an attorney or petition preparer for the bankruptcy case
  • Discretionary or non-essential spending
  • Other relevant financial hardship factors

Application & Verification Process:

To apply for a fee waiver, debtors must complete a waiver request form and submit documentation of their financial situation. Acceptable forms of documentation include:

  • Recent pay stubs
  • Social Security or unemployment benefit letters
  • Proof of public assistance

Applications are reviewed within 2 business days, and results are provided via email.

Note: Waivers must be approved before registration and payment. Fee waivers cannot be applied retroactively after a payment has been submitted.

Limitations:

Fee waivers apply only to the base course fee. They do not apply to any optional services, upgrades, or additional products offered by Bankruptcy Logic.
